General Info

Le Marzoline is the kind of Italian restaurant you discover once and immediately want to return to. Tucked away in the peaceful countryside at Via Ca' Masino, 611B, 40024 Varignana-Palesio BO, Italy, this welcoming spot blends tradition, comfort, and genuine flavors in a way that feels effortless and sincere. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere feels relaxed and familiar, making it an easy choice for both locals and travelers exploring the area.

The menu at Le Marzoline is deeply rooted in classic Italian cooking, with a clear focus on handmade pasta and hearty recipes. One of the standout dishes is the Tagliatelle Al Ragù Alla Bolognese, a timeless favorite prepared with care and respect for tradition. The Tagliatelle Al Ragù Bolognese delivers rich, slow-cooked flavors that feel comforting without being heavy. For those who enjoy bolder tastes, the Pappardelle Al Ragù Di Cinghiale offers a deeper, rustic profile that reflects the region’s culinary heritage.

Balance is also part of the experience here. Alongside the pasta dishes, the Salat Mit Speck Und Käse adds a refreshing yet savory option, combining crisp textures with smoky and creamy notes. To finish on a sweet note, the Crostata Di Frutta is simple, fresh, and satisfying, the kind of dessert that feels homemade rather than overly refined.

Le Marzoline is well-suited for lunch, especially if you’re looking to slow down and enjoy a proper meal. At the same time, it’s also known for offering late-night food, making it a reliable option after a long day. The casual setting makes everyone feel at ease, whether you’re dining with friends, family, or children. A kids' menu is available, which adds to its family-friendly appeal, and debit cards are accepted, keeping things convenient.

What truly defines the experience at Le Marzoline is how natural everything feels. The service is straightforward and warm, the food arrives without unnecessary fuss, and the overall mood encourages you to enjoy the moment. Reviews often highlight this balance between quality and comfort, noting how the restaurant feels authentic rather than staged.

With its thoughtful menu, inviting location, and relaxed dining style, Le Marzoline stands out as a place where Italian food is served the way it should be-honest, flavorful, and meant to be shared.

“ Highly recommended if you’re nearby and so much better than Aurevo (the pool side restaurant of Palazzo Varignana). It is surrounded by beautiful gardens with a small playground for kids. The food is not overly pretentious and very well priced. The staff is professional, attentive and full of smiles. Highly recommended if you’re nearby. If you’re staying at Palazzo Varignana, skip Aurevo and eat at Le Marzoline. Thank you the team at Le Marzoline for the hospitality! Tip: be sure to book a day or two before your stay as it’s usually fully booked and bring some mosquito repellent for your legs. Also ask at reception to drive you there with the golf cart as it’s slightly off the main property. ”

“ Delicious meal - menu highlights classic dishes from the Emilian region at very decent prices and high quality. We had multiple meals here. Appetizers we got the typical Emilian appetizer (tigelle with mountain pesto, crescentina with mortadella and Parmigiano cheese ice cream, crescenta with 24-month Parma ham and Squacquerone cheese (local soft cheese similar to burrata and is unpasteurized). First courses we tried the classic tagliatelle with bolognese and the tortellini in capon broth - this was super delicious! Very light and airy and ask for some Parmesan sprinkling on top it was perfect. For second courses we tried the bolognese cutlet and the beech-smoked duck breast. Both were amazing. We shared the artichoke with mint as a side and had the hazelnut chocolate ganache for dessert (this was not as good since the ice cream was super melted for some reason). Their olive oil is also delicious - our favorite is the Stiffonte. We purchased a bottle to take home! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a big space and suitable for big event - the second meal we had there was a party of almost 20. Also very child friendly - many people brought their kids and they provided comfortable high chairs and changing tables. ”
